Final Aztec Masks Update

Posted by gowtsblog on June 12, 2008

At last our Aztec masks are complete!

We has used the Aztec Day Signs to create masks like those that may have been worn by Aztec priests.

Rather than colouring in or painting the masks, we have used coloured paper that has been carefully cut to shape to create the effects!

We think that they are rather stunning!

  1. I’ve been researching masks for a new website I’ve made and I’ve found numerous sites like this where mask projects are used in schools or nurseries. It’s excellent because it’s a really good way to teach the basic culture and history of a culture while having fun and doing something constructive.

    Thanks for the post!
