Aztec Numbers
Posted by gowtsblog on June 26, 2008
Here is a little activity to try at home this weekend.
It is all about the way in which Aztecs write their numbers. They didn’t use figures like we do: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, …etc. As we know they used pictures or glyphs. A collection of these glyphs/symbols was called a codex.
Look at the sheet and read it carefully, then see if you can use the information to work out what numbers the codices represent.
Get your parents involved too, they will love the challenge. Bring it to school and I will mark it if you like!
