Lincoln Church Schools Festival 2008

On June 18th Year 6 visted Lincoln Cathedral to take part in the Lincoln Church Schools Festival.
This is an event only open to schools with Church of England links.
As well as getting a guided tour of the Cathedral the children learned to present The Lord’s Prayer in British Sign Language.
It was tricky at first remembering all the different parts and in the right order but after some practice they were able to perform the prayer in front of all the other schools at the special service in the afternoon, very nerve racking!
Everyone who went was very impressed with the behaviour and enthusiasm that the children showed.
Now there was just the small problem of teaching it to the rest of the school when they got back!
Mind you with Chloe-Ann’s confidence and Miss White’s help Y6 have done a great job!
